WordPress web designer

We are currently hiring for this position. You will turn approved designs into fast, maintainable WordPress sites, primarily in Elementor, alongside our design and engineering leads.

CraftedPixel is growing fast and we plan to expand the team in this area in the near future. Even when we don’t yet have a formally approved position for every profile listed, we still want to meet exceptional people we can keep building with.

About the role

You build marketing- and content-focused WordPress experiences from Figma (or similar) handoff: clean structure in Elementor, sensible global styles, and output that doesn’t embarrass us on Lighthouse.

You know when to use a native block, when a custom module is worth it, and how to keep editors from breaking the layout.

Responsibilities

  • Implement responsive pages and templates in WordPress + Elementor; reuse patterns across projects.
  • Configure forms, basic SEO plugins, caching, and staging → production workflows carefully.
  • Work with designers on feasibility and with engineers when a site touches custom PHP or headless edges.
  • Document editor guidelines so clients can publish without a call for every paragraph.
  • Take part in prelaunch QA: cross-browser testing, accessibility spot checks, and performance budgets.

Terms

  • A portfolio of live or staging WordPress sites you built or substantially maintained.
  • Strong Elementor experience (Theme Builder, dynamic content, global styles).
  • Solid HTML/CSS; confident fixing layout bugs without breaking the stack.
  • Experience with Git or disciplined export/backup habits for client work.
  • Async-friendly communication and CET overlap for standups.

Nice to have

  • ACF or custom fields for structured content.
  • WooCommerce or membership setups.
  • Basic PHP for small theme changes.

Compensation and benefits

Gross salary: €1,300–1,900 per month, depending on experience. Employment contract, pension and health insurance, 20–24 days of annual leave. Remote from Serbia / the region, with studio days by arrangement.

  • Home office or studio day support.
  • Learning budget for WordPress / front-end courses.

Working conditions and policies

  • Hours: Core hours in CET; async otherwise.
  • Equipment: Company-provided or a stipend, confirmed in the offer.
  • Clients: You may use client staging environments; an NDA applies per project.
  • Reference check: May be required for certain accounts.
