Always-open hiring
CraftedPixel is growing fast and we plan to expand the team in this area in the near future. Even when we don’t yet have a formally approved position for every profile listed, we still want to meet exceptional people we can keep building with.
Apply and send your CV or portfolio to be among the first we contact when this position officially opens. We expect that to happen in the coming months, depending on client demand and our internal plan.
About the role
You turn approved frames into clean static HTML/CSS (or help in Elementor when a project uses it), fix responsive bugs, and learn how we structure SCSS or utility-first CSS on real engagements.
This is a craft apprenticeship: lots of reviews, clear checklists, and no expectation that you already know every framework.
Responsibilities
- Slice Figma specs into semantic HTML and organized CSS.
- Implement responsive breakpoints and simple interactions (hover, accordions) as directed.
- Do visual QA against the design in Chrome, Safari, and mobile simulators.
- Update copy or images in staging environments with senior approval.
- Document the pitfalls you hit so the next person avoids them.
Terms
- 2+ samples of hand-coded layout (CodePen, GitHub, or deployed static pages).
- Confidence with flexbox and CSS grid basics; willingness to learn our conventions.
- Attention to spacing, type scale, and accessible heading order.
- Reliable CET overlap for reviews.
Nice to have
- Git basics (branch, commit, push).
- Experience with WordPress or Eleventy-style static pipelines.
Compensation and benefits
Gross pay: €500–750 per month for about 20 hours a week, depending on experience. Service contract or student contract. Code reviews every week.
- Weekly pair code review sessions.
Working conditions and policies
- Hours: A fixed weekly schedule agreed in advance.
- Tools: Your own editor; we cover the paid extensions we standardize on.
- NDA: Applies to client repos.
CraftedPixel is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status or disability.
Hiring process
- Links to HTML/CSS samples + available hours per week.
- A 20-minute screen with the web lead.
- Paid task: implement one responsive section from Figma.
